Who may apply:

Full time undergraduate students (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) attending a Maryland college or university who are preparing for career in the uniformed public safety field, i.e., Law Enforcement, Corrections, and/or Fire/Rescue/EMS.

When to apply:

Applications are accepted between January 15th and March 31st each year.

When scholarships are awarded:

It is the goal to award scholarships each fall and spring semester.



A minimum of one (1) scholarship in the amount of $2500.00 may be awarded for the academic year in each discipline: Law Enforcement/Corrections, and Fire/Rescue/EMS.

The John Armiger Scholarship Fund is funded by the generous contributions of individual donors and organizations.
